1. Meatloaf with sauce


  • 1 kilo of ground beef first
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup oatmeal
  • 1 sweet paprika (chili) finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • ½ cup thinly sliced onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Condiments to taste: salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder

For the sauce

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon mustard


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees
  2. Marinate the meat with the condiments of your choice
  3. Add the other ingredients, and mix trying to integrate them all
  4. Beat the eggs, add them to the mixture and knead with your hands until you get a homogeneous dough
  5. Place the meat dough in a bowl greased with olive oil and bake about 45 minutes, or until well cooked in the center
  6. Climb on the highest grill in the oven, and let brown for about 10 more minutes
  7. Prepare the sauce by mixing the ingredients well
  8. Remove the meat from the oven, drain the excess juice, bathe with the sauce and place again in the oven for about 10 minutes, until the sauce is integrated into the cake

2. Combined meatloaf


  • ½ kilo of ground beef
  • ½ kilo of ground pork
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • ½ finely chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • Breadcrumbs
  • English sauce
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Sauté the onion and peppers lightly peppered, until the onion is crystalline, remove and let cool
  2. Beat the eggs
  3. In a large bowl mix all the ingredients: meat, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, onion and peppers already cold, and finally eggs
  4. Place the mixture in a greased mold, it can be elongated and tall, or it can be tray-type so that the cake is thin as a cake
  5. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, until the meat, is well cooked

3. Meat pie with spinach


  • 1 kilo of ground lean beef
  • 1/3 cup flaked oatmeal
  • 300 grams cooked and drained spinach
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 very finely chopped onion
  • 1 whipped egg white
  • ½ cup of cold water
  • ½ tablespoon ground dried sage (dried)
  • Salt and black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven and soak the oatmeal until it is hydrated
  2. Drain the oatmeal and squeeze until almost dry, an absorbent cloth can be used. Then try to crush it on the same cloth
  3. In a pan with little oil, sauté the onion for 3 minutes until it softens
  4. In an appropriate container place the meat and mix it with the rest of the ingredients in the following order: first the oatmeal, then the onion, then the spinach, the minced or crushed garlic in a mortar, the sage, the salt, and the pepper, and finally the egg white
  5. Place in a previously greased baking sheet, and take to the oven for about 30 minutes at 250 degrees, first checking the center of the mixture to check if it is cooked

4. Grandma’s meatloaf


  • 1 kilo of ground beef
  • 1 kilo of ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 pinch ground thyme
  • 1 large onion, minced very thin
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1cup chopped parsley
  • 1 slice of bread soaked in milk
  • 2 eggs
  • English sauce to taste
  • A splash of milk


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Mix all the ingredients, the bread must have been drained and undone
  3. Place the preparation in a large mold already greased and take to the oven for 30 minutes, increasing the temperature to 200 degrees
  4. Other ingredients can be added to the mix, such as cooked vegetables, or bacon in small pieces to give it more flavor

5. Meatloaf for vegetarians


  • 300 grams of textured soy already hydrated and drained
  • 1½ potatoes
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pepper (paprika, chili) finely chopped
  • 3 diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons grated white cheese
  • 3 tablespoons beer yeast
  • 1 tablespoon paprika or ground paprika
  • 20 green or black olives without bony, cut in half
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
  2. Soy is hydrated in hot vegetable stock, half a cup more water can be added if necessary, provided it is hot. Remember to drain well
  3. Peel and wash the potatoes and make a puree, adding salt and pepper to make it tasty.
  4. reserve a large skillet place a splash of oil, and skip the onions and peppers, then add the garlic and parsley, finally add the tomatoes and let cook for about 5 minutes, until the ingredients are integrated
  5. To this preparation add the soy already hydrates, draining the excess broth, and cook mixture for 5 more minutes
  6. Mix the preparation with the remaining ingredients: paprika, olives, olive oil, salt and pepper to taste
  7. In a large, well-greased baking dish, place a layer of mashed potatoes, another layer of soy mixture and another of mashed potatoes. If the mold is small, the layers can be alternated, always finished with a layer of mash
  8. Finally, sprinkle the cheese and yeast, and take to the oven until the mixture and the mash are firm and the top au gratin
  9. You can add ground nuts such as nuts, to give it more flavor and consistency
